Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to Parkpups Doggy Daycare & Boarding!
These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for clients using our services. By using our services, clients agree to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions.
2. Booking and Reservations
2.1. Booking: To make a booking, clients must provide all requested information about them and their dog, including desexing certificate, vaccination details, and emergency contacts. All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
2.2. Vaccinations: All dogs must be up-to-date on C5 vaccinations. A C3 vaccination is not accepted as it does not cover Canine Cough. Proof of vaccinations must be provided upon request. Your booking will be cancelled if you cannot provide proof of an up-to-date C5 vaccine.
2.3. Reservations: We recommend making reservations in advance, especially during peak seasons. We do our best to accommodate last-minute requests but cannot guarantee availability. Sometimes we are booked out for months in advance due to our commitment to keeping the number of client dogs too less than 3 at any given time. We do this to make sure we can provide enough attention and love to each dog in our care.
3. Dog Eligibility
3.1. Age: Dogs must be at least 12 weeks old to use our services, as this is when they are considered fully vaccinated.
3.2. Behaviour: We reserve the right to deny service to dogs displaying aggressive or dangerous behaviour. Aggressive dogs will be separated from other dogs and the client or emergency contact will be asked to remove the dog from the premises immediately.
4. Health and Wellness
4.1. Health Check: Dogs should be in good health. If a dog appears unwell or shows signs of illness, we may isolate the dog and contact the client or emergency contact for an urgent pickup. If your dog is unwell, you will be asked to refrain from bringing them for their booking. Clients will be refunded for services not yet undertaken or asked to reschedule the booking.
4.2. Emergency Care: In the event of a medical emergency, we will make all reasonable attempts to contact the client or their nominated emergency contact. However, if the client cannot be reached, we reserve the right to seek immediate veterinary care at the client's expense. The sitter does have a canine First Aid kit on hand at all times as well as a current Certificate in Pet First AID through Red Cross. Please also note that our sitter does not drive, so in the event of a medical emergency, we will make our best effort to get the dog to a vet, or a mobile veterinarian may be contacted.
5. Daily Care
5.1. Feeding: Clients are required to provide all of their dog's food. We will follow the client's feeding instructions as per the booking paperwork. It must be noted that the dogs will likely be engaging in more daily exercise while at Parkpups, so a larger quantity of food may be required per day. It is not unusual for a dog to lose a little bit of weight while away from home, especially if it's their first time away from their family. We will contact the client if the dog does not eat at all within a 24 hour period.
5.2. Medication: If the dog requires medication, clients must provide clear, written instructions at the time of drop-off. This must include the name of the medication, the reason for the medication, time of administration, frequency, dosage and other directions specific to your dog. Please note that our sitter is comfortable administering topical and oral medications, but not medications that require injections (IV, IM and Subcutaneous).
6. Safety and Liability
6.1. Supervision: We will provide diligent care and supervision. However, clients understand that dogs may engage in typical dog play and interaction, which carries inherent risks.
6.2. Liability: Parkpups is not liable for any injury, illness, death or damage that may occur while the dog is in our care. In the event that the dog causes damage to the property or its contents, the client will be required to financially compensate for said damage. Photographic proof of damage and cost of replacement or repair will be provided to the client.
7. Payment and Fees
7.1. Fees: Payment for services is due prior to the time of drop-off or as otherwise agreed upon. Failure to make payment may result in additional charges and cancellation of the booking.
7.2. Cancellation: Cancellations should be made at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the commencement of the booking will incur a fee equivalent to 30% of the total booking cost unless otherwise agreed upon. You may reschedule a booking up to 24 hours before it's commencement without incurring a fee. In cases where a booking is rescheduled and then cancelled, the 30% fee will still apply.
8. Consent for Photography
8.1. Photography: Clients consent to Parkpups taking and using photographs and videos of their dog for promotional, advertising or social media purposes unless the client specifies otherwise in writing.
9. Termination of Services
We reserve the right to terminate services for any reason at any point in time, including non-compliance with these terms and conditions.
10. Miscellaneous
10.1. Amendments: We reserve the right to update and modify these terms and conditions at our discretion. We recommend reading these Terms and Conditions regularly to keep up to date with any changes made.
By using our services, clients acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us before booking your dog's stay.
