Hi! I'm Lilyana

Equipped with a Certificate II in Animal Studies, a Certificate III in Animal Care Services, first year completion of the Animal Behaviour degree at the University of Adelaide, Red Cross Pet First Aid certificate and over 8 years of experience in the industry, I'm bringing a whole new meaning to doggy daycare!

My Story

When I brought my Husky puppy, Roxy, home at 15 years old, I made a promise to give her a long, fulfilling life. I quickly discovered that working breeds like Huskies require dedication, but I was ready for the challenge. Over the next five years, I dove deep into learning everything about dog care—nutrition, exercise, dog sports, enrichment, and much more—so I could be the best owner possible.

It was while working at a commercial daycare that I realised how flawed the industry is: stress, poor hygiene and sub-par behavioural management. I knew I could do better. So, I created Parkpups, a home-based dog daycare that focuses on what truly matters: a clean, safe and enriching environment for dogs of all breeds and sizes. No overcrowding, no stress—just dogs living their best lives, eating in peace, resting when they need to, and going on adventures with us.

At Parkpups, your dog’s happiness and health are our top priority. We don’t compromise on quality care just to make a quick buck. I’m always open about how we run our business, and I’m here to answer any questions you may have.

Parkpups has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. Along the way, I've completed a Certificate III in Animal Care Services and multiple other animal-related qualifications to ensure the best care for our clients.

In May 2024, I also welcomed a new addition to our family—Puzzle, my two-year-old Labrador Retriever and guide dog, who brings joy and positivity to everything we do. I’m also proud to be the second visually impaired person in Australia to pursue a career in dog training and the first to run my own daycare/boarding business. My mission is to prove that people with disabilities can thrive in this industry, despite facing challenges and discrimination. I’m determined to show that I can offer exceptional care for dogs, and I love proving that anything is possible with the right passion and mindset!

Roxy and I have also become quite the team in the world of dryland dog sledding. As the only legally blind person in Australia competing in this sport, we’ve earned multiple ribbons, sashes, and trophies. Our success is a testament to the bond Roxy and I share, and we’ve even been featured on "The Dog Down Under" TV show in September 2024 as the winner of the Sporting Legends category!

I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved together, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to share our journey.

Thanks for supporting Parkpups—we’re here to provide your dog with an exciting and enriching experience they’ll remember!

Warm regards,
Your local dog enthusiast!

Kat & Molly

"Lily is an amazing dog sitter, she took our 4 month puppy in and spoiled her with walks in the park and a doggie doughnut. She is truly a pet Lover and very knowledgeable and caring when looking after our Molly. Lily always gave me updates on what molly was doing even though I didn’t ask for it, this shows how caring she really is! Thank you Lily once again for looking after Molly!"

Parkpups client dog Smartie, a light brown and white staffy cross kelpie

Parkpups client Bennett, an orange-brown Hungarian Vizsla

Leah & Bennett

"Our dog Bennett absolutely loved staying with Lilyana and her dog Roxy. Everything went well with our 'meet and greet' and I appreciated that she let me know up-front that she was going to be away from the house for a little while each day. We received fantastic communication each day with some awesome photos too! Thanks so much Lily!!!!!"
