Meet and Greet

Service Description

Get to know Parkpups Playcare and our experienced dog sitter with our free Meet and Greet service! This is an opportunity for your furry friend to become familiar with our house and meet the sitter. I take the time to understand your dog's unique needs and personality, so you can rest assured that they’ll be in good hands while you’re away. It's completely normal to be nervous about your dog's stay or the way that they might interact with the other dogs. We don't typically do dog-to-dog interactions during the Meet and Greet as we believe that it is best to take things too slow rather than too fast. Dog-to-dog meets straight away can be overwhelming for your dog, and we want to make sure that we are setting them up for success with us long term. A good 90% of our clients have been with us for years, so it's very important to us that we set the dogs up for that long term kind of success! We gradually introduce new client dogs to our own dogs first, followed by any other dogs that are staying with us that we think would be a good personality match. We do occasionally look after dogs who don't like each other and don't get along. This is not an issue for us as we simply manage the dogs in a way that they don't need to have contact with one another. This can be through rotating different play groups etc. Dogs are never left unsupervised together at any point during their stay. We want to make sure that your dog feels relaxed, not stressed! We require all new clients to book a meet and greet at least two days before your dog's first stay as this allows us to perform a casual behavioural assessment to ensure that your dog fits well into our home and lifestyle. Please be honest with us about your dog's behaviour or anything that you are concerned about, as this will allow us to provide the best care possible. We welcome any and all questions about us and the way we run things, as we value transparency over everything. We will also be honest with you about your dog's behaviour during their stay, so that we can find ways around any problems together. Schedule your Meet and Greet today!
